4 Tips for Eating Healthy During the Holidays

It can feel easy to overindulge over the holidays especially when spending time with family. However, with these small tips it's possible to create a healthy environment.

  1. BYOS (Bring Your Own Snack)

One thing about traveling are the stops in between your destination. The thing is most of your fast food restaurants do not provide the most healthiest options. Save the stop and bring your own snack.

2. Eat regularly & Stay hydrated

Before your meal start with drinking water. This helps with staying hydrated and helps with your digestive system. Small meals throughout the day will keep you from getting too hungry and overeating with larger portions.

3. Keep it simple & colorful

Think of your plate as a colorful canvas and you're the artist. Fill your plate with mostly greens, fruits, veggies. Add meat as your side and paint away! ( I tried to continue with the artistic talk lol)

4. Eat mindfully

Focus on each bite really enjoying the flavor of the food. Access your hunger, on a scale of 1-10 how hungry are you? Are you eating out of boredom or eating sweets out of habit? What else could you enjoy instead at that time?
