When life gets busy (especially as a mom!), nourishing your body with real, whole foods doesn’t have to be complicated. This cozy Protein-Packed Turkey Veggie Soup is one of my favorite go-to meals for supporting energy, gut health, and glowing skin — all while keeping you full and satisfied.
It’s the kind of recipe that reminds you: God provides everything we need for nourishment — we just have to slow down long enough to enjoy it.
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 can diced tomatoes (no salt added)
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
4–5 cups chicken broth (or bone broth for extra protein)
1 medium sweet potato, peeled and cubed
2 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 small zucchini, diced
1 cup chopped green beans
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Seasonings: sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, and a touch of cayenne for heat (optional)
Directions
In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic, and ground turkey until lightly browned.
Add carrots, celery, and sweet potato. Cook for 5 minutes.
Pour in diced tomatoes, chickpeas, chicken broth, and seasonings. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, then add zucchini, green beans, and cabbage. Simmer for 20–25 minutes or until all vegetables are tender.
Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve warm and top with fresh herbs or a drizzle of olive oil.
💛 Why You’ll Love It
High-protein + fiber-rich: Keeps you full and supports healthy hair and hormones.
Immune-supporting: Garlic, sweet potato, and veggies nourish your gut and strengthen immunity.
Family-friendly: A comforting meal that everyone — from kids to grownups — can enjoy.
✨ Faith + Food Reflection:Just like every ingredient adds nourishment to this soup, every small, intentional choice we make adds to our wellness journey."So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." – 1 Corinthians 10:31
